Terms of Service
Effective October 5, 2026
Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of habitt, a personal finance app operated by habitt Technologies Inc. ("habitt," "we," "us," or "our"). By joining our waitlist or using the habitt app, you agree to these Terms.
What habitt is and isn't
habitt gives you one place to see your credit, net worth, cards, bills, and rewards, and helps you decide which card to use and where your money is going. habitt is not a bank, lender, broker-dealer, or insurer. We do not transfer, hold, or lend money, and nothing in the app is investment, tax, or legal advice. Decisions you make based on information in habitt are your own responsibility.
Account connections
When you connect a financial account, card, or brokerage to habitt, you authorize us to access that account on a read-only basis to retrieve the information needed to power the app. habitt cannot move your money, open credit in your name, or otherwise take action on your connected accounts. Credit checks you authorize through habitt use soft inquiries only and do not affect your credit score.
Eligibility and availability
habitt is available to residents of Canada. You must be able to form a binding contract to use habitt.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials secure, and to use habitt only for its intended purpose of managing your own personal finances. You are responsible for reviewing the information habitt shows you before acting on it.
Rewards and Coins
Coins earned through habitt can be redeemed for gift cards as described in the app. We reserve the right to change the rewards program, including how Coins are earned and redeemed, and will communicate material changes to affected users.
Termination
You may stop using habitt and disconnect your accounts at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to habitt if we believe these Terms have been violated.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
habitt is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, habitt disclaims all warranties and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Waitlist and invitations
Joining the waitlist is free and creates no obligation on either side. We use your email only to tell you about your invitation and about habitt, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Invitations are personal, are issued in waves at our discretion, and may be withdrawn if they are shared, sold, or used by someone other than the person they were sent to. Referral rewards, where offered, are paid only when the referred person completes identity verification and otherwise meets the conditions shown in the app at the time of the referral.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the province or territory where you live.
